Re: stalling out--help needed

Before you replace anything I would install a pressure gauge before the carb. and after the filter, then you will be able to see if your fuel starving the motor when it stalls out on you.

Re: stalling out--help needed

Jeff. I'm a little confused. In your first post you said when it stalls it acts like its starving for fuel, then you say it acts like it flooded. Since you have a electric fuel pump on her do you know what fuel pressure you have ? Do you have a pressure gauge near the carb. You should be getting any...

Would anyone know if I replace my 120-240 deg. Temperature Gauge with a 60-260 deg. Gauge would I have to change the current sending unit ?

Re: m37 axle

I bought two Powerbuilt stands about a year ago and haven't had any problems with them . There rated at 3 tons and I find them easier to use then the regular jack stands . http://www.tractorsupply.com/en/store/powerbuiltreg%3B-3-ton-jack-amp%3B-jack-stand?localStore=ALLENTOWN%2C+NJ&cm_vc=-10005 ...

Re: Good Deal on Oil Filters

Bob . This subject came up here a few years ago and I also wrote to 3 filter company's and there response to me is below. If the filters are stored properly, we generally do not recommend using anything after a 7 year shelf life. After this, you are taking a chance of the paper media beginning to de...

Re: Good Deal on Oil Filters

Bob. I would be very careful with any oil filter that is NOS. Oil filters have a shelf life of 5 to 7 years. I wouldn't take a chance with anything other then a fresh filter.

Re: Starter Question

You would be the best judge of that Bruce to have it rebuilt. I really cant say very much. All I ever did was cleaned the contacts in the solenoid that's mounted on top of my starter.

Re: Confused about Distributor Vacuum Vent lines

By any chance, are either of the vent lines attached to the engine manifold or the vacuum part of the fuel pump and not the air horn ? (before the carb and after the air filter) Also does the truck run any better if the choke is pulled out partly ? If it does then that's a good indication your deali...
