Re: Hard top rectangular window

Gee so is mine. I'm thinking of doing some sort of upgrade to a more modern window. If anyone has any info to pass along that would be helpful.

Re: Replacement Fuel Tank

Bert, I was thinking of that, but I also saw where the tank needed to not have that so the sender would ground properly. I suppose I could put the material on the strapping and then run a ground wire to the sender. Something to think about over the winter months.
Thanks.

Replacement Fuel Tank

There has been some talk over the past few years of what to do for a replacement tank for your M37 is yours is missing, turned to dust, or is just so rusted your fuel filter gets clogged in less than 1 second. It would be nice if there was an after market tank out there that wasn't $800.00 but somew...

Re: M37B3 Project

I finally have some time to post and update. Now that the warm weather has flown south for the winter the truck is going to be tucked away in the garage. I may if we get any mild days go out and tinker here and there, but the majority of my work especially painting is done till next spring. I got th...

Re: M37B3 Project

Haven had much time to get anything major done on the truck. Been doing little things. I've also been doing little things that are part of bigger things but haven't gotten all the little things together to post about the big things...if that makes any sense. Anyway, I wanted to post a little update....

Re: M37B3 Project

Okay folks here's the latest. Finally have gotten some time to spend in the garage again. I wanted to get back to it sooner, but just one thing after another has kept me busy doing other things. So, last fall I had rebuilt the rear axle with new inner and outer bearings, new seals and did a rear dis...

Finally getting back into the garage so I hope to post some pics soon. Nothing major just finishing up the front axle rebuild before moving onto the next thing on the very very long list. Stay toon

Re: AB15 Antenna with CB Radio

There and different antenna section that thread into the Ab-15th. generally the MS-116, Ms-117- and MS- 118 sections are the most common ones out there. You can mix and match to get the length you need. If you search high and low you may find other sections like the Ms-121 and 122, but they are rare...

Re: CB External Speaker

I've used the GI Speaker with new guts in it. If you can find a loud speaker like mentioned above like a used Radio Shack one or the Motorola as mentioned then you can put the guts from that speaker into the GI speaker and you're good to go.

34094 “383” C.A.R.C. Substitute Late 1980’s to present base color for current 3 color camo pattern. Gillespie Coatings, Inc. Non-Acrylic Alkyd Enamel from Rapco Parts. I’m going to go with a modern look for the truck. Update on my garage door. With any luck I should be able to get back into the gara...

Re: M37B3 Project

Well, I've been dead in the water so to speak since mid January. I went to close the garage door and the whole bottom rail cam off in my hand. It's a wood door and it separated from the rest of the door. With the help of my son-in-law I was able to get the door somewhat closed but haven't open it si...

Re: M37 door marking question

I remember that pick from a long time ago and I think that truck was involved in the Tet Offensive but don't quote me on that. As for the marking...that is a USMC thing as Army MP trucks had regular bumper markings and Military Police on the truck either direct paint or on a sign attached to the tru...

Re: M37B3 Project

Well, the cold weather has come upon us and I didn't get as much done before the snow fell as I wanted to. Story of my life  Anyway between getting other things done around the house, my job and the holidays I was able to get out to the garage when the temps were above 35 deg. Colder than that ...

Re: Looking for Pictures of the Interior of Gun Trucks

I don't have personal experience because all the troops where home when I was 14, but I've talked to a few vets over the years and I what I've been told is that armament was what ever the GIs could get their hands on that would give them fire power. 1919s, M2s, M60s etc. Full auto was key. The insid...
