Thanks for the info, I didn't know that manual existed. I just downloaded it and will take a look and see where I'm at with my frame.

Re: Operation Restoration (2009-20??)

Well its been a year and all I managed to get done was cleaning the hardware. Quick questions for you guys that have done frame off restorations on these trucks. Anyone notice a twist in their frames? Laid mine on the concrete and when I step on the right rear corner the left front corner pops up. I...

Re: Operation Restoration (2009-2022)

Well I'm still here and have cleaned 95% of the hardware. Decided that since I used Evapo rust on the hardware there is no need to go through the trouble of plating them. Of course with a full time job and working on other folks vehicles on my off time, the truck is on a slow track. However, I have ...

Re: Looking for a part

Just a thought but has he tried a exhaust shop? They would have that size pipe and might have a mandrel that would flare the one end close to the size he needs.

I thought I'd share a before and after of items soaking in the evapo rust solution. Some items had trace amounts of corrosion and other had a good amount.

Re: Operation Restoration (2009-2022)

Then SS pins are for the wet rotatory tumblers. My shooting buddies claim they clean every little nick and primer pocket on spent brass. I ended up replacing most of my very small fasteners, as they tended to be too badly rusted to be reused. The Fastenal store is your friend. NV So I soaked the ha...

Re: Operation Restoration (2009-2022)

Do you know anyone who is an ammo reloaded who has a stainless steel pin rotating cleaner? It would clean them up to bare metal in a couple of hours. I ran my fasteners thru my own media vibrator with small ceramic chips I got from Harbor Freight. Did a pretty good job. But the SS pins would have b...

Re: Operation Restoration (2009-2022)

Starting the tedious process of cleaning the hardware. I'm using this plastic container with fixed dividers. I'm using evaporust for the solution instead of acid. it seems to work well with removing rust and since there is no acid in the solution, I don't need to neutralize it. The only issue so far...

Re: M37B3 Project

I remember when you made the deal for this truck. It was about the same time I got my truck and was finishing up on restoring my A2. Anyway, do you know whatever happen to your A-1? The folks that got it seem to have dropped out of sight shortly after getting it.

Re: 2021 ROLL CALL-PLEASE CHECK IN!

I'm still here but haven't posted much. Still here still working on the M37B3 concept. I remember when you traded your A1 for the 37. I picked up mine in May 08 and had it torn down by Sep 09. Its still in pieces as you can see. Yes that is the whole truck in that pile minus the engine, radiator and...

Re: M37 Mystery Problem

I grabbed this from another forum on how to test your coil. 1. Disconnect the leads to the screw-terminals of the coil after removing the distributor cap; 2. Get an test-meter and set the meter to ohms (resistance); 3. Measure the resistance between the two primary terminals (the screw terminals); 4...

Re: M37 Mystery Problem

If you shot starting fluid in the carb and it didn't even try to fire, you have an ignition issue. Take your distributor cap off and see if you can spin the rotor by hand. It should not move. Next look at the the coil and see if any of the wires are damaged. Removed the coil and look at the bottom o...
