You could also do a off road camper with popout sides or something like a caravan. Google Land Rover camper for some ideas on what can be done on a short wheelbase vehicle.

Re: Anyone Going to Ripken this Week ?
I have always heard that Thursday was the day to go to Aberdeen but have never gone as I cannot get the time off of work and want to take my kids out of school. It just seems that it is centered on retirees and dealers.

Re: Anyone Going to Ripken this Week ?
I went on Saturday since the weather was nice and walked around for the morning. I did look at some top bow corners at the one vendor dealing in M37 parts but did not have the money to buy them. Since my M37 is mostly complete, I am not in the market to hunt down parts like I used to. I had a talk w...

Re: Removable Doors?
Heat and penetrating oil will work just tap the pin up from the bottom of the hinge. They may be held on with multiple coats of paint.
You can fabricate replacement doors using whatever materials you want. I have seen doors made from expanded metal and metal box tubing.

Re: Removable Doors?
Drive out the door pins with a hammer and punch, done. The manual prefers you don't remove the hinges since they are adjusted already. I have seen photos of doors removed on M37's in Vietnam. Made exiting the vehicles easier in case a grenade was thrown in. Having driven with the doors off, I have t...

Re: WTB m37 restoration guide
Save your money and get a copy of the Army rebuild manuals. If you search the forum you will see that the book is not highly regarded, it is a collection of articles from Military Vehicles Magazine from when David Ahl owned the magazine. It is probably cheaper to get back issues of Military Vehicles...

Before you start your project, what stage are you in life? Reason I ask is projects tend to stall when marriage, kids and life get in the way. From experience parts can get lost in moves and interest is lost.

Re: Red Ball MV Meet 2015
iI was at the rally, I thought it was ok. There are no more parts being surplused anymore so that impacts the availability. Also most dealers do not want to pack up and drive around parts. Easier to list on Ebay.

Midwest Military sells the timing light adapter. It goes between the plug and the wire with a stud to attach the timing light lead to.
