Re: Dana 60 Axle swap
There was a article in Power wagon advertiser a few years a go about an M37 Dana 60 swap. It involve modifying the cast perch and cutting and moving the other perch. This way you would not have to modify the suspension. I will see if I can dig it up.

Re: 4 Door Concept
I don't think you would need the portal axles on the M37, since the stock tires are already 36".

I am redesigning the my truck too with a whole new drive train. But with my current set up: If I set it up like an 80's dodge the steering box will need to be mounted so some of the holes are where the front cross member is. Also it will limit my turning radius because my tires will hit it before it...

Modifing steering to work with dana 60's
Ok I've got my dana 60's after the 3rd front suspension design and it works great. Now for the steering. What I would love to do is a snakeriver type set up. However my question is can the ball on the steering arm from the original M37 axle be pressed out and pressed into the arm of the dana 60 axle?

Juan I think you hit the nail on the head with why the none power assist works so well in the m37. The leverage of the M37 brake pedal is a lot more then most power assisted cars. I'm going to try the none power assist first. If that dosen't work to my wife's liking then I will add the hydro boost. ...

Power vs dual curcuit manual brakes
I have converted my M37 over to dana 60's from an 83 dodge. And will convert the rear brakes to disks also. I'm seeing if any of you guys have experience between changing over the M37 manual master cylinder from to a dual curcuit 1980 c30 truck (on the uglytruckling site) vs installing power brakes....

I am still working on my dana 60 Swap. Here is what I have done. got a set of Dana 60's from an '83 dodge truck FRONT: Remove the front and rear spring mounts. Fabed up my own front mounts resembaling the original fronts so they bolt in. I will try to post my drawings later. I took the original spri...
