Keep the comments coming, I'm picking up a lot of ideas on issues to look for. This is what the PW guys had to say in regards to the flywheel, "its a bolt in except the flywheel on the 230 has 8 studs and the crank in the 218 probably only has 4, I think. but the 8 bolt flywheel should bolt to ...

I intend to drive the truck around town, to parades, and some highway driving, maybe a little offroading. Will the flywheel have to be replaced?

I have never taken an engine apart before, I have replaced the clutch on the M-37 though, so I'm not afarid of getting my hands dirty. I live in southern Cali, so I figure if I screw it up more, I can take it to a shop. As for as tools, I have access to pretty much anything I need (I gots friends).....

Broke engine
Greetings All, I broke my engine, heard a clumping noise, then it stalled out, tried to turn it back on and it won't turn. Looks like I'm gonna have to take it apart, never done this before, how hard will it be? If you've done this before and you have pics, I'd love to see them. :shock: Send picture...

I constantly drive my M-37 everywhere, when I was stationed in San Diego I used to make that run from L.A. at 55 mph, I did this for 2 1/2 years. Recently I took a trip to 29 Palms from L.A. at 55 or better. Every where I go I run 55 +, the old girl is still running strong. http://www.fototime.com/9...

I recently tried installing a fuel pump I purchased rebuilt but it seems the the arm that goes inside the engine is too long, am I doing something wrong?
