Re: body mount questions

I know there are two bolts on the bottom of the radiator core support which mount it to the frame, but are there any cushions involved? That's what I need, is the positioning of the proper rubber parts and the bolts/washers involved. The picture is helpful. The image has a parts list below but it go...

body mount questions

My son-in-law came over and wanted something to do, and he likes wrenching, so I couldn't pass up the opportunity to use his muscle to remove the body from my M37. Of course he wasn't concerned at all about how things needed to go back together, so parts flew all over the place and now that I'm tryi...

Pretty sure those are just flat steel and could be welded or even bolted in using flat sheet stock.

I cut it up pretty badly. I wasn't expecting anyone to be interested. I might have the bolt-in plates that come out. Otherwise it's in pieces.

Re: How about a picture of YOUR M37 OR M43!!

Doing a chassis swap using a '78 Chevy 3/4 ton Camper Special. I'll be able to drive at highway speeds, have 37 gallons of gas, and have disc brakes. This is the cab with the Chevy floor in it. I'll be taking it in to the welding shop to get a professional to finish it up so I'm sure it's solid. M37...

Re: Rebuilt axles 13 Times !!!!

Well THAT's a LOT of miles on an M37. Regardless of being repowered. Are there any other parts that failed more than once? What parts are problems long term?

Re: The tale of three trucks...

The chassis swap is looking good so far. The Chevy floor looks good in the M37 cab.

I have a used starter motor that I suspect is good but has never been installed on anything I own. Free to good home, pick up only, on I-70 in the middle of Utah.

Re: The tale of three trucks...

I had a great day. Cutting and splicing the two cabs together for the body swap... and never really knowing if the vision was going to work as it seemed in my head. A week of work with no sure outcome... and the possibility of ruining the cab parts I need to have. But today it all came together. The...

Re: New Speedometer Question

Has anyone else changed out the speedometer (with new) to keep track of the miles? I'm keeping the old one for the 'nostalgia box'. Or am I just crazy in buying a 73 year old truck. Then spending time and money on it. I'm not sure at this point. I certainly am enjoying it so far! I'm doing a body s...

Re: The tale of three trucks...

So Travlr, what's the word on these bad boys? Sold any, got any running, etc.? We'd love an update-thanks! Gary Sorry Gary, I haven't been around for a while. I sold the two green trucks to one guy. I think he was somewhere up close to Ogden. He came to look at the B and when I offered to sell him ...

Re: replacement radiator for M37

Nice to hear from you Chuck-hope you and Bambi are well! You didn't mention your engine-if you're upgrading it I'd likely go with a modern radiator coupled with the tranny cooler. Easier to procure than finding an M37 radiator that you can trust. Just my 2 cents, Gary Hey Gary... long time no see. ...

Re: Replacement Fuel Tank

I don't know what the dimensions are for the M37 but there are square body Chevy Blazer tanks that are 28x28 and come in 25 and 31 gallons. And Suburbans have a 40(?) gallon tank.

I just bought a 31 gallon for about $135 delivered.
