Re: Need Clutch 101

antifreeze stencil compressed.JPG arrival dr side compressed.JPG Well, this is awkward, but while thinking of engaging my brain about this issue, I thought it might be helpful to also engage the transfer case. As with my jeeps, if the tc is not in 2 or 4 wheel position, it is in neutral and will al...

Need Clutch 101

Next generation Kaiser M715, but my clutch question is basic, so any help greatly appreciated. Got truck from Bubba Fire Department and what they disclosed was accurate so far as to the running condition and no mention of clutch issue when parked. But after I take care of the fuel pump and fuel line...

Re: Help ID Brothers markings

So far the consensus is that since these are armored vehicles, the "normal" unit markings do not apply and that the location of these numbers and the vehicle nickname lean towards them being vehicle registration type numbers and have nothing to do with a specific unit. Those numbers would ...

Help ID Brothers markings

Bill 1.jpeg A little offf the rails here, but looking for all the help I can get. Just picked up a 67 M715 Kaiser and want to mark it for my deceased Brothers military service. He was Army 68-70 in Korea at the DMZ. He was a M114 APC driver and since we are from Detroit, it was named the Motowner. ...

Re: Master Cylinder connections

Thanks guys. I'll leave it open while I manually bleed the system with pumping and opening and closing the wheel cylinder bleeder balves and see how I do. Then leave it open all the time unless going under water, which is not on the agenda.

TO THE WORKSHOP!!!

Re: replacing NDT tire myself???

Best of luck with your tire installation. But....if something were to happen, can I have your truck? Seriously, I have dealt with Vintage Tire in the past on Model T and A tires and tubes, they are good people. I purchased my four flaps on eBay and they are coming from PA, so may be them. $34 a flap...

Re: replacing NDT tire myself???

Just ordered new flaps. When the tire shop took off the old tires, I did not think to check the old flaps if they were present. I know the tubes were toast. So new flaps to go with new tubes and tires only makes sense. And, I was thinking of using web rachet straps on the tires instead of chains to ...

Re: Master Cylinder connections

Extremely good and useful information. I was worried that I messed up the compression nut and now knowing that this is only vented air, I'm not going to lose sleep over a tight fit. Question . . . would this valve normally be in the closed position and only opened to vent through the line that I pre...

Master Cylinder connections

Replacing MC and it looks like I can remove the connections from the old one and instal them into the new one and use my original line hook ups. But, it looks like Bubba put in some sort of valve in the one line and I don't know if this was just what he had in the toolbox to make a right angle conne...

Re: replacing NDT tire myself???

Are flaps necessary for these wheels? I am going through this process right now. Took old tires and wheels to truck tire shop and they sledged the old tires off for a $50 tip to the crew. Dropped the wheels and rings off at the sandblaster and got them home, primed and painted them. Got new NDT's an...

Re: Need help finding TDC

Yes, I have been remiss in my reporting back. After much, time and effort and some parts replaced, I still had spark and gas, but not firing at all. So, I was headed down the remove the head and look at the valves and head gasket. But, I thought of another club member who had a Dodge WC56 and asked ...
