Lug Wrench Handle
I have a couple of the original BUDD/Lug wrenches for the M37 and Power Wagon. I tried using a 3/4" mild steel rod as a handle and ended up bending the rod. The lug nuts were not that tight and came off with a breaker bar and socket. What were the original handles? Were they rods made from hard...

Carburetor Rebuild Kit
Can anyone recommend a good carb rebuild kit? I want to avoid NOS as I'm not sure how the old stuff will hold up to ethanol. We try our best to run ethanol free but sometimes there is no choice. I was thinking of Mikes Carburetor as I used one of his kits in a jeep. It looks like he has one for the ...

AB15 Antenna with CB Radio
I have read on a few forums where people have used this antenna base and trimmed the top element so that it was tuned to the CB with a SWR meter. Has anyone here got this to work? We have been working on this but ran into some issues which may have to do with grounding. I would be interested in hear...

Re: CB External Speaker
Is there anything that needs to be done to a military loud speaker? I have one which is a LS 454/U and it does not seem to put out much sound
when used with something other than a military radio.
Thanks

Re: 24 Volt Military Coil Modification
Currently the truck is all 24 volt with the only exception of the ignition coil. This is because the distributor is in good shape and the oil pump is new. We were running a used Bosch 24 volt coil that we got off Ebay and that lasted about a year. Right now we are doing a temp work around with a 12 ...

24 Volt Military Coil Modification
Truck is 24 volt but using a civilian distributor and civilian oil pump. Is it possible hook a coil wire to a military 24 volt coil so that it can be sued with a civilian distributor? Has anyone hear done that? Were running a Bosch 24 volt coil that looked like a regular coil but that one has failed...

PTO Transmission Backlash
Hi all When checking backlash while installing the pto, where do you place pointer on a dial indicator? I am assuming it will be on the tooth of the gear in the transmission that engages the gear in the pto. This will be done on the opposite Side of the transmission from the pto. Is this correct?i w...

Re: Lu4 winch worm shaft bearing back lash
Thanks all. I did mean end play rather than back lash. Once the number of gaskets is determined,
Did you guys use a sealant on these gaskets during final assembly? I was thinking of using something like aviation permatex as it goes on thinner tha No 2

Lu4 winch worm shaft bearing back lash
When checking back lash i read that the number of gaskets is checked without the seals installed.
Is this done with the drum shaft and brass gear installed? Or do you just install the assembled worm gear shaft? Thanks

Winch Drum Bushing Pins
Hi All I have read several posts on severwl forums about rebulding a LU4 winch. I haven't seen any mention except in the TM of the small pins that go through The drum bushings. Are people not installing these? I think our winch has had the bushings replaced and only had a pin in one of the bearings....
