Re: M37 Disc brakes

"You have been missed Ray, call in more often when you get a chance, Maybe you need a holiday away from Thailand to recover a bit :-)"

Disc brake availability for M37

I have plenty of disc brake sets available for the M37 in Medford, Oregon. I have trained a machinist in Georgia to do the hub conversion. $530 is the cost per set plus shipping and includes the cost of converting the hubs. Rotors are about $30 each and calipers $60 each from your local parts store....

About 4 years ago I Tossed out the fixtures for the front M37 V8 mounts. I had about 50 sets in-stock and was going to redesign the front mount so that it was the same as the new one we use for the PW. Unfortunatly I moved from Oregon to Thailand a couple of years ago and no longer have access to an...

One of the problems is that with the increase in the price of steel most of the older doner trucks have been scrapped so the bell housings etc. are hard to find, also I used up all of the cores in the USA for the clutch disc. I had intended on redesigning it to use more modern parts but probably wil...

anyone else need disc brakes made for their M37-s?

I am getting ready to do the next run of hub conversions, so if you still want a set email me at rsuiter@helitool.com. Joe McGinnis Callison Enterprises, Inc. in Blairsville, Ga will be converting hubs for our customers in the eastern part of the US. This should provide considerable savings in both ...

"Is everyone here too new to recognize Tim Peterson's name?" Paul, you are 100% correct! Tim was the original developer of the disc brake set for these trucks. When he stopped making them I redesigned the caliper bracket so that it was a bolt on and the end user did not have to scrounge ch...

I need a machinist in the eastern region of the US

Most of the disc brake sets I ship go to the east coast. This forces customers to ship their hubs all the way to the west coast to have them converted. This is very expensive and time consuming for them. If you know of anyone who has a small machine shop in the eastern part of the US this would prob...
