Fording Exhaust Bolts - What Size?
Anyone know the size/threads of the fording exhaust bolts? The one that bolts the fording exhaust bracket to the side of the truck, keeping it vertical.

Re: Ignition Coil and Cable
As a follow up: I am told now that complete change back to waterproof distributor may entail new oil pump as well. Distributor shaft on the civilian one is centered. On the military waterproof its a bit offset. Said if wrong oil pump there would be a wobble in the operation of the distributor. Also ...

M37 and M60 - Courtship and Mating
I am blessed to have a semi-auto M60 I am also blessed to have a '54 M37 I have it on good authority that each is lonely, and each lusts for the other. Just seems to me a crime they are not together in some way, but those M24A2 mounts are like hens teeth. And so I put it out there: how, without spen...

Re: Ignition Coil and Cable
Great pics and thanks so much this clarified it for me. Elwood is correct. Someone did a non military set up and the coil is mounted outside the distributor. I do not have the waterproof milspec distributor setup. So..... a regular cable does not set I to the coil seat/hole and hold there. What prev...

Ignition Coil and Cable
So....I have blown through 2 "Chromies" - These chrome canned ignition coils made in Taiwan. First one on my '54 M37 was on there when I got the truck last year and looked like it was going to burst. Second failed almost immediately. The top was pushing out and off and fluid was coming out...

Tires Tires Tires
Guys: No decent NDTs around anymore (wait.... does Coker still supply 900x16?). Michelin XLs history. What tires are you all putting on nowadays? If I were granted a wish i would have freshly produced set of 1100x16 XLs to dress my '53 M37 up. Whats the next best thing nowadays? Super swampers, or i...

Re: 24V Coils, NOS, Arrived from Netherlands (NJ)
Hey Guys:
Reminder that I laid in quite a few NOS ignition coils I found in the Netherlands. I think I have 8 left.
My all-in cost was $75. Anyone needs, let me know.

Re: Cranky-Cranky, No-Sparky, No Starty
Bad gas. I took a quart out. Harmless watery fluid. I could swim in it.
Emptied the whole tank and pulled through some hi test and dumped in some Heet.
Cranked it for awhile and she fired up (finally).
Purrs like a kitten now.

Learned a Lesson
I learned a lesson today: properly diagnose a problem. Don't just replace parts until it works. OK, so coil replaced and still no start up at all. - gas is freely flowing / pump works - spark tester tells me power to the plugs OK so that leaves me with I think two possibilities: - water in the gas (...

Re: NOS 24V Coils Located
So, I have a website for this now. See below. I am buying ten of these which keeps shipping down and will keep three. Will post again in a few weeks as they arrive and anyone wants one can send me $75 plus shipping. If you want to order separately: http://www.truckpartstrading.nl/2011/webshop/en/449...
