Re: Inline Fuel Filter / Gas Filter Replacement

In the past I have routinely used several clear plastic filters on my M37’s. The last M37 had a canister filter from the tank to the pump. Another clear filter before the pump and still another clear filter between the pump and the carb. These clear filters are CHEAP. Even with the fuel tank chemic...

Re: HELP!!! Brakes locking up

Greg, (Just Me) has you on the right track. I can’t explain lock up while vehicle is idle. I agree with Greg, your pedal travel to free play may be a bit short on return travel. Why not adjust the brake pedal to an extreme 3” free play travel and see if the lock up disappears. You can always re-adju...

Re: M series electrical problem

Elwood and Tom P.

Thanks for the ideas. I have suspected the coil. Gets hot, maybe, and quits.
How can coil be tested? They are expensive to buy for trial and error.

I will also check the charging system for excessive voltage.

Thanks,

More info to follow after further testing.

Re: Truck dies when hot and then runs later

I know you said you saw fuel in the carb. But I would still follow the fuel starvation thread. Vapor lock, poor pump pressure, clogged fuel filter, etc., etc. If you have spark try using a burst of starter fluid. The engine would likely die only from lack of spark or lack of fuel. I agree that your ...
