Re: Dana 60 Axle swap
I know this is a bit older of a post, but thought be good to reuse. I was looking into do a 60 swap as well, why not just weld a new spring perch on the dana 60, so you can just mount to the original springs ? I realize there may be about a 1 inch off set to one side, but with the fenders so big, it...

Re: passenger seat bottom question
All my seats are in good structural wise, except need new covers. I'm just missing the whole passenger bottom. I saw the hog rings you were talking about nam, i was debating on how i wanted to do that since its still wood base, so can also staple.

Re: passenger seat bottom question
Thank bruce, that helps a lot. I see you said you make one in plywood, and from what i knew all seat bottoms were plywood, where the originals not plywood ? I do have the actually locking part of the latch on the front of the seat, was trying to see how hook part that's on the top seat bottom was ho...

Re: passenger seat bottom question
I've done a search, a lot guys talk about, but no up close pictures or diagrams. When I've come across a picture, its of the seat in place and finished from 3/4 feet away, or its the seat back/ driver seat. As for the gallery, its been down until just recently, and even then i haven't been able to f...

passenger seat bottom question
Like most m37s, when i got mine, the bottom passenger seat was gone. I of course looked around and talked to to others and found it was any wood board/sheet that fit to cover it. I have also seen that there was a latch on the front to help lock it down, but for the life of me, i can't find how it is...

Re: I THINK I WOULD HAVE RATHER BEEN SCRAPPED...?
It was done rather nicely and keept up apparently. Hey its used instead rotting and not horribly mangled.
But woooww on that price tag. I think your paying for the drugs in the seats as well.

Re: Rookie needing headlight circuit help
Just like nam hinted on, i would first do a visial check if all wires are fully intact first. Remeber if the wire wasn't replaces, then its over 50 years old. Can also do a quick check if the douglas numbers are connected to the proper ones. No matter what people belive or say, military stuff is not...

Re: Low vaccum
I did spray around carb with starter fluid for leaks, and nothing, guess ill try again. As for top dead, just to double check it, i used the bubble method. Used spark plug adapter attached to hose, ended in jar of atf/oil. Connected into #1 spark plug port. Turned fan by hand, turned until no bubble...

Low vaccum
I have been fiddling with my engine, trying to get it to run properly. I thought i had it good, until i pulled it out to move another vehicle and it died 3 times, and took a while each time to get it to start. I have checked the TDC marks, and there correct, the oil pump is timed correctly. I have n...
