Re: Rhino winch
Looks more like the Braden MU-2 from a civilian Power Wagon, not an LU-4 from a G-741 series truck. If you're thinking about mounting this to an M37, you'll have some work to do, since the MU-2 mounts on crossmembers, instead of directly to the frame rails per the LU-4. My M37 had an MU-2 grafted o...

Re: swap in '01 Dana 60/70?
k8icu I'm seriously considering a resto-mod on this M37 as it has already been converted to small block chevy engine and trans. Would be changed out for a Dana 70/60 with (shortened) '01 frame, 318 with A518 od trans and 241dhd transfer. 70superbee I have a Dana 60 rear from a '76 D200 but a matchin...

Re: swap in '01 Dana 60/70?
Yup, that's the only photo available at this time. The package price is stupid cheap but I didn't want to go through the hassle just to end up selling the parts. I know there are some on here that don't care much for anything other than bone stock - and I respect that. (My '52 PW is going to be just...

Was a long bed extra cab. Includes driveshafts and a 241dhd transfer case.

Re: swap in '01 Dana 60/70?
Here are more details...
It is actually a roller - 2001 Dodge 2500 Dana 70 rear, Dana 60 front. Was previously a Diesel and is Disc on all 4 corners. Has front coils that may be a problem.
Hope this image can be seen.

swap in '01 Dana 60/70?
There is a set of .354 60/70 (all disc) axles from an '01 (Cummins) 2500 for sale near me. I was planning on swapping in a '77 Dana 44/60 set and then saw this ad.
Thoughts, opinions, please! I'm sure someone on here has done or thought of doing this. Thanks in advance............

Re: swap in 318/A518(46RH)?
I am proceeding with the plan to transplant a 318 with the A518. The 318 will be either updated to a 4bbl and slightly stout cam or will (as budget allows) be replaced with a 360 magnum retrofitted to carb/LA heads. Looks as though this will be a complete redo - not to original but updated so I can ...

Re: swap in 318/A518(46RH)?
I have found that this M37 has 4.89 gears!
If I WERE to install the A518, that would give me an approx. 3.38 in o/d.
The average annual temp in my part of Maine is 54 degrees.
Am I foolish to think 3.38 is TOO far?

Re: swap in 318/A518(46RH)?
Considering that the rear driveshaft length would be similar in length, do you think the angle would be slight enough to survive normal operation?

Re: swap in 318/A518(46RH)?
I'm confused about the term 'centered output'. I haven't been under the parts truck to see the transfer case orientation.
Am I to understand that the np241 won't connect to the original M37 front axle?
O/D is a high priority in making this a road buggy.

swap in 318/A518(46RH)?
Been looking without much luck to see if this can work. My '54 had a transplanted chevy 327/4spd which the PO kept, leaving me with decisions to make. I have access to an LA 318 and an LA 360, both automatic. Found a '90 W150 with an A518 auto o/d trans parts truck. Want to go automatic (so my fathe...
