What's the weight of the engine w/ trans?
I'm looking at pulling mine to do a pretty good rebuild on the engine.

Congrats! I just took mine out on our street after about 6-7 months of hibernation (and for the first time since major valve adjustment) and it felt great. We also completely rebuilt the brake system. Still had pedal after sitting for that long. This thing stops real good, now! Make sure your brakes...

Does anybody have any pictures of the winch used on the WC52 trucks? I went to look at a '62 M37B1 yesterday, and it had a PTO driven winch, but it definitely wasn't a LU4. WC is not as user friendly. Open cab, slower speed (4 spd trans w/o synchro, single speed xfer case), otherwise it is pretty much the same as the M37 except 6 volt. I have a binder and just print out a section at a time as I need it for reference as I rebuild/remove/repair. It often ends up just being a couple of random pages that have a good diagram and the paragraph that details the actual procedure... I just print it on hole-punched paper and stick it in a 3...
