Re: Drive train upgrade
Well, I have a TBI block 350, with a TH350 trans and a NP205 Transfer case that I am going to prepare to drop in an M37.
I am also considering a power steering upgrade too.
I will keep stock axles, and stock look everywhere, except under the hood.
And of course, 12 Volt conversion.

Re: Drive train upgrade
Thanks gary, Got it.
I want to keep the stock look, so I would prefer to keep the original axles under it, if I can make them work. I don't mind going stock speeds either.
But a Chevy 350 and TH400 will work good with those axles once I create mounting for them?

Drive train upgrade
Sure this has been topiced several times. I want to swap engine and transmission, and possibly t-case. Reason: I want to be able to drive my M37 wherever I want to in order to take it to mobile displays I do with Freedom Vehicles association, and still tow a trailer(m101 or M416.) Will the stock axl...

M37 Fire Trucks
Does anyone have an M37 fire truck that is still in fire truck configuration? I'm talking like a regular M37 truck with firefighting apparatus in the rear.
I am looking for pictures on how the apparatus in one of those might be set up.
Thanks.

Arctic Kit M37 Bed Enclosure
So I just picked up a hodge podge of parts from some M37 Arctic Kits. The kind that make an enclosure out of the bed with wood and an insulated canvas top. I am on a mission to find any information on them, I have seen a few threads on here about them. I mostly want to try and find a parts list of e...

Re: 1951 M37 Air Force
Got some extra parts today for the truck. Got the bed mount spare tire carrier, and the Slave receptacle.
Also finally put JB weld on the what I thought was crack, but after more investigation, it is a cut. Not sure why there would be a cut there...

Re: 1951 M37 Air Force
Removed oil pan the other day, the front was leaking, turns out the plate that is under the front main bearing is cracked. Good thing I have a donor motor from the M43 I am parting out. So after I replace that, I will put the new gasket on, and then put the pan back on. Goal is to have it ready to b...
