Re: Winter Storage Tips?

Jordan, I'm up in Bar Harbor, ME If you plan on not driving it at all during storage go with what Charles suggested, I've done that way and had no problems come spring time. What I have also done is put sta-bil in the tank when I know I am going to just drive it one or two times a month, the M37 is ...

TUNE-UP

I finally finished putting my '53 M37 back together. Engine runs well but won't make full power. I will be doing a tune up, but I have a 12v timing light and dwell/tachometer, can and how can I make it work with the 24v system with the waterproof wiring? Also I posted new pictures in the photo galle...

Thanks guys, I will take a look at it this weekend. Its probably why when I bought the truck the spare parts that came with it already had a new disk and pressure plate. I read in the manual the alining tool is #41-T-3085 is this still current and where can I find one.

Thanks,

Ed

Clutch Problem

All, need a little advice on the clutch. My first mechanical problem since owning the truck. The truck sat for about a month while I re-did the bed, and everything worked well. I started it up and tried to put it in gear and the clutch wouldn't work. I checked clutch pedal shaft and everything moves...

Bed removal

Gerry,

I just took apart my bed last week. Sides came off with ease, for the bed floor I started trying to unscrew the phillips head bolts with a lot of difficultiy found it easier to drill them out with two 1/4 drill bits. Took me about an hour to drill them out. Good Luck,

Charles,

I noticed you referred to a CCKW top, what does the CCKW stand for? I just bought the truck over the summer and still learning the different parts/nomenclature for the M37.

Thanks,

Ed

My cab top is metal, the oval window is held in by a rubber gasket. A mounting bracket is used to bolt onto the windshield frame using the same bolt holes that the canvas top brackets use, then the top bolts onto the bracket. The bottom of the cab top has a channel that matches up to the cab and bol...

Old forum

I bought a 1953 M37 about 2 months ago and access the forum under the old system, is there a way to access the old topics because that had a wealth of knowledge without asking the same questions again.
