Go get one of those cheap auto stethoscopes and simply touch each component. When you hit the right one you will know it!

Re: Vacuum tubing behind dash
Probably rubber. Mine is missing as my truck is under construction The inside of that hollow bolt has about a 1" smooth nipple that protrudes into the cab (easy to slide a tube and clamp over) If it were any kind of metal tube I would think it would be threaded or flared.

Re: Oil Bath Air Cleaner Gasket
Yes. The oil bath seals at the top of the sleeve (a simple smaller doughnut sits in the groove). Oil bath does not touch the bottom where the 4 holes are that attach the sleeve to the elbow. That's what I thought he meant.

FelPro kit 3060 the black cork/rubber sheet. It's called cork rubber but it's more like rubber/cellulose. I just did mine. If you don't have the hole punch a 9mm case works like a champ for the 4 bolt holes.

Re: Need rear safety strap dimensions
54 1/4 from the buckle fold to the other buckle fold; 2 inches wide; 1/8 inch thick. Can be lengthened another 2 inches if necessary. Those measurements give mine a 4-inch drop across the back. Gary Interesting. I didn't know it was 2" wide. I was thinking it was only 1" like everything e...

Re: Approximate age of Marine M-37 in Vietnam
You also need to consider logistics. Korea ended in 53. The m37 was started in 51. Nam, although started in 54 the US didn't get on scene (officially  ) until 65. SO, A probably ragged out military vehicle would have to be transported approx 6500 miles back to the US from Korea. Then, 11-ish y...

Re: Does the M37 share the same pioneer tools with the WC's...?
Axe handle goes up into the top right corner. Anything else and the flat (aft) section of the axe will be askew from the rack flange that keeps it down in its pocket AND the handle should sit in the flattened out portion of the rack bar at the mid-way point. Shovel head goes under the loop on the ri...
