Not an M37 but an old Dodge
I have a friend with a 1947 Dodge 2 ton flatbed truck. Pretty original CA truck sitting up in Napa. Is there a forum for these old trucks? He wants to sell her.

Selling my M37B1
I've had this truck about six years and a couple dozen parades. It's a nice one.

OD Footman Loop for First Aid Kit
I see OD footman loops available on ebay for $14 plus shipping for a pack of them. I only need TWO. If you have a couple laying around, I will buy them from you for $5 I'm getting closer on having my First Aid Kit installed but now I need a couple footman loops to hold the strap that holds the kit. ...

tauttline hitch
Here's a nice example of how to tie a tauttline hitch http://www.iland.net/~jbritton/tautlinehitch.htm Yep! That's where they are, alright. Remember that you will be adjusting these ropes from time to time as the canvas shrinks and the ropes stretch. I would suggest using tautline hitches on your ro...

Hooks on the gate
Seem somewhat odd that the ropes for the cargo cover would attach to the tailgate in the rear. You have to untie them to lower the gate?

Cargo Cover
I just got a fresh new cargo cover for Tinkerbell. (63 M37B1). I did not get the front and/or back covers. I just have the big top cover. I have the canvas laying over the bows and I'm looking at the ropes thinking about the numerous ways to affix these. The side ropes obviously attach to the side h...

Slots
I took a second look - NO SLOTS on the 1963 M37B1 - I guess I will have to use footman loops! Or could avoid all this and just throw some band aids and neosporin in the glove box! Would be a helluva lot cheaper!

Attaching the Kit
I have looked a few pictures and I see some trucks appear to have footmans loops for the strap that holds the F/A Kit. Mona at New Lift told me there should be a couple "slots" in the metal that the strap would feed through. I don't think my M37B1 has any slots? It has the 3 holes for the ...
