Re: Rear Canvas Flapping
It has been a while since I posted any photos and I can't seem to get it to work. The full four-foot width of the plywood works perfectly. Just cut to length. I bolted it down on top of the existing frame using one 1/4 x 20 carriage bolt in each corner. My truck has to stay outside year-round and I ...

Re: Rear Canvas Flapping
I cut a piece of 3/8" plywood to fit the top flat surface and secured it under the canvas. It keeps the top from sagging and collecting water, and there is no flapping. Also, I cut the plywoodit in half and put hinges on. That way, if I need to take the canvas off, I can fold the plywood in hal...

Re: M37 rear vinyl window
I can sew in a new vinyl window for you. You would have to send it to me. It would run about $50 plus shipping back.

I'm still here with my 65 M37 I have had since 2008. I don't say much but I'm around. I did a disc brake conversion last summer. Best thing I ever did!

Re: Hardtop, Canvas or Topless?
My truck came with a CCKW top. I drove it that way for a few years. I took it off one summer and put on a canvas top and have never changed back. It is quieter, quick to take off and has that canvas smell we all like. I drive mine several days a week all year round. The canvas is a little bit more b...

Re: Unexpected benefit to driving M37s
Jim, I know just what you are saying. I am not that intimidating looking but, the truck sure attracts attention. I can figure on taking an extra fifteen minutes talking to someone looking at my truck every time I come out of the grocery store, lumber yard or where ever. I must say I do enjoy relatin...

Re: Kids love military trucks!
Thanks all for the comments. The ladder is actually a boarding ladder for a boat. They are available from many locations on line. I just cut it to the length I needed. I liked it better than the military ones because of the hand rails make it easier and safer for kids ( and adults) to climb up in. A...

Kids love military trucks!
Every year all of us downtown merchants host an event called Kid's Day. We all provide something for children to do for free. I bring my fleet down and open them up for everyone to go through and play in. I also set up a water stop with a lister bag. The adults are as interested as the kids. One man...

spotlight mount
I finally got around to getting a spotlight mount fabricated. I just installed it and made a canvas cover for it. As we all know, once you get the truck done, it's all about the accessories! http://i1073.photobucket.com/albums/w400/Charlie_McEwuen/030_zpstquxknse.jpg http://i1073.photobucket.com/alb...

Re: leaving your truck outside
I think I posted this before but here it is again. I made this to cover the top, cowl vent and all those hold down brackets that are prone to rust. It is easy to put on and remove and is small enough to store easily. I take the rear bows off in the winter and put on this " winter cover" to...

Very nice work! Looks like it came from the factory, only better. I like the front top line, looks like a slimmed down M43. Nice spotlight and antenna mounting.
