Re: 1954 M37 rebuild thread

The work looks amazing, you are doing an amazing job. How did you build your own wiring harness? What did you use for a layout? I assume the Hemi 5.7 had to be equipped with it's own sub harness and computer to control the engine. The remainder of truck would have to be sectioned off in order to sup...

Wanted - New Canvas

Good day all, I am looking for a recommendation from someone who has recently purchased and installed new canvas on their M37. I have heard Adirondack Dodge, and Midwest Military but, just checking to see if anyone has a good lead on a place to get new canvas. I am looking for both the cab and the t...

Re: Mechanical Fuel Pump = High Pressure

This reply is long over due. I started this thread with the fact that I was having what I perceived to be fuel issues. The electric fuel pump that was 'Jerry' Rigged into the truck seemed to suck and in fact it did. What resolved it in the end, I bought a new mechanical fuel pump from MWM and instal...

Gonna try a new seat and seal. We'll see how that works. More to come at the end of next week. :D

Re: Mechanical Fuel Pump = High Pressure

Yes, the pressure is high enough to unseat the needle. It might be the float being to heavy. That's where we're at at this point. Pulling off the carb again. Getting there and not letting it beat me!

Re: Mechanical Fuel Pump = High Pressure

Bob, First of all, thank you for your quick reply. Yes, the carb has been rebuilt since installing the new pump. All things seems to lead back to the mechanical pump not functioning as it should. That makes a lot of sense, I will give it a try tonight. We'll see what we can figure out at this point....

Mechanical Fuel Pump = High Pressure

High Fuel Pressure W New Mechanical Pump: I have had my 1954 M37 for a few years now in Orlando FL and I tried to live with what appeared to be vapor lock. I've started down the path of being able to kill the vapor lock (Symptom) and drive the truck for a 100 miles without issue. Someone before me i...

Re: Drivers Seat Lowered - Modification

Thanks everyone for your replies, I do love driving my big beast around the neighborhood but, I can honestly see the traffic lights clearly right over the darn windshield (top off of course). I've thought about taking out the springs, then just making a flat short padding, but, the springs take out ...

Drivers Seat Lowered - Modification

Questions to all - Has anyone implemented a successful modification which lowers the drivers seat 4-6 inches? I am on the taller side (6'5") and my line of sight is pretty much directly at the windshield wiper mechanism. Now, I see great with the windshield folded down on the hood but the bugs ...

Re: Graveyard in the Gallery

I think it's just fine for some of those old rusty heaps to head to the crusher... lower the available count will increase the value of ours. Who am I kidding, there are only a select few people that are in this hobby and make a dime. I know I'm not one of them.
