Re: Can the cam be removed with engine in truck
Thanks for the replies. I do have the manuals from when I rebuilt the motor back in late 90s. I am going to pull it out and probably take it to s machine shop to have them replace valves as needed, maybe mill head etc. I live in Tucson, does any happen to know any good flathead engine rebuilders in ...

Can the cam be removed with engine in truck
How difficult is it to remove the cam while engine is still in truck? I realize tappets will have to be removed and possibly valves. Also I know engine will have to be supported. Just wondering if it is worth it to try it, or just pull the engine

Re: Stuck valves
It's the intake valves. Just hard to believe they r stuck that bad. It was sitting less than 24 hours when we last started it. I removed the vacuum port on intake for cylinders 1 and 2 and sprayed sea foam in there. Also started it twice and tapped on outside of head with plastic hammer to try to fr...

Re: Stuck valves
Thanks for reply. I had removed the cover and that's how I confirmed they were stuck. Engine is very clean and tappers move up and down and rotate freely. I put a screw driver between the taper and can easily move the valve up, it just won't come down. Almost like there's a stop from preventing the ...

Stuck valves
Hello, I recently hooked my gas tank up to my 230 flat head and after about 3 days of driving it, it developed stuck valves in cylinder 1 4 and 6. I should have known better, but it is what it is. I literally drove one day and the next day 5 of 6 cylinders were sticking initially. The trucks runs, b...

Re: Tcase yoke flanges for 1410 ujoints
Thank you Gary. That's a good suggestion. I suspect that might have it as well, but probably under their number and pricey. I think I have the yokes figured out for tcase and might by one to verify if I don't get any responses.

Re: Tcase yoke flanges for 1410 ujoints
Thanks Andy for the suggestion. I have dealt with Dave before so maybe he could help. I can get the flanges from torque king, but they r pricey and don't provide the spicer number. I have reached out to others whi have done this and I'll see if they reply.

Re: Insurance question
Thanks for reply NV. I have another vehicle with Haggarty and I'll have to see what that policy says. When I spoke to them this past Friday, I asked them that question about going off reading and they told they won't cover that on my vehicle.
