Hi Andy,
Yes, it does. I was initially thinking M715.......but it's too heavy for that truck. I hate to toss it out.....I know someone somewhere can use it. I'll post it over on SS when I get some time. Thanks for taking a look.
regards,
bob

Help Identifying Mystery MV Part Needed
Hi Guys, If you guys can't figure this out I'll post over on SS........but I find you guys the most helpful. I got this in a box of M38A1 heater parts at a meet back in the Spring and it needs to go to someone who can use it. It's not sheet metal.......it's heavy plate. No part number on it that I c...

Re: NOS FRONT FENDERS ON EBAY...
I like to think discussions like this are generational..........my grandfather thought my father's generation was a mess...........my dad thought my generation was a mess..........and I think my girlfriend's kid's generation is a mess. But so far it's always been ok. I'm guessing today's youth will ...

Re: NOS FRONT FENDERS ON EBAY...
NV, Good post. Having the right spares, especially non-consumables, is always a challenge. Luckily these trucks and this hobby will outlive all of us, so it will really be someone else's problem, but the day will come when folks will stop collecting what we collect. I was thinking about that the oth...

Re: NOS FRONT FENDERS ON EBAY...
Got to give the seller credit...........he's corrected the listing and lowered the price. I've corrected more than a few sellers on Ebay when their listing was inaccurate and they usually just ignore you and sell on. A fair price is whatever someone is willing to pay for them. I picked up a pair of ...

Re: WTB - Fuel Shut Off Valve
Hi Elwood, I agree. I wasn't trying to imply that what vendors will be asking for the valve would be unreasonable........it's just a rule of thumb. I'm a firm believer in demand setting price....so if they ask too much they'll just sit. Ask too little and they'll be gone in a short time and they'll ...

Re: WTB - Fuel Shut Off Valve
Elwood, Thanks for making the effort. Truth be told I need one for my M38A1 jeep, which came with the fuel system fully bubba-fied and the valve missing. The same valve is used in a number of M-Series vehicles, including the M37. The originals have all dried up, but it appears the jeep folks are jus...

Re: WTB - Fuel Shut Off Valve
Hi Elwood, Yeah, I hear ya.........smart move. What I find a bit puzzling is that the valves are still made, just not with inverted flare female ends. They make them for the boat industry for use in fuel lines. But I'd think hard fuel lines in boats would still use flares on the end for a good seal....

Re: WTB - Fuel Shut Off Valve
Hi Guys, Thanks! I've ordered (and received) the valve and the two adapter fittings. I'm a bit bummed that I can't find the correct original part with the female flare connections. I called all the typical MV vendors and no one has the correct valve any more. Minimum quantity to have them made by th...

WTB - Fuel Shut Off Valve
Hi Guys, Anybody have one of those little brass fuel line shut off valves (just upstream of the fuel pump) they'd like to part with? PN is 7346871. Took mine apart to see why it's leaking and found body had a crack (probably from a casting flaw) in it. PM or email (w30bob@verizon.net). Oh........I c...

Re: plastic fade fix
Hi Travis, What Just is alluding to is that bug spray (Deet) makes the plastic lenses clear by actually melting the plastic, not by polishing it (which lasts much longer). The oil in the Deet fills in the low spots while the Deet itself melts the high spots of the plastic to make the lenses look cle...

Yeah, same thought here. By the time you add in the cost to crate and ship you're getting mighty close to a grand. My bodyshop can work miracles on mine for that kind of money. But.........if you have pockets that deep.........or a tax refund burning a hole in your pocket........they are nice! regar...
