Looking to make some room. Parts are in WNY, local pickup. Can send pics, no idea how to post here. Very open on pricing, just ask or open also to trades...cab parts, cloth top, clean seats, nice windshield frames, Dodge muscle car parts, jeep stuff, cool local beer, etc. All the parts are off a run...

Steering column firewall bushing source
Long time since posting but finally getting back to the truck. Uglytruckling used to sell a steering column support that was essentially a bushing that bolted to the firewall, supporting the column if it was cut at the box when doing a conversion. I don't see much on the website anymore. Does anyone...

Re: V8 in M37 pros/cons
Upstate NY here also, if you call WNY upstate. I'm in the middle of a swap/regear. Unless you love driving 45MPH or less, especially on hills, you won't like the straight six standard axle setup for long. I'm swapping a 360 plus front and rear axles from an 89 dodge 3/4 ton. Swapping axles gets you ...

Re: Show me your paint jobs - I need to pick a color for my
I painted my old truck and jeep with OD sand Rapco paint. Looks great, holds up well and super easy to touchup. Also didn't bother with 2 tone bits and pieces, for me doesn't match with the military look and just adds extra work. For ongoing project plan to do the same. The spray cans spray surprisi...
cab?
Anyone have a nice cab for sale? i'm in WNY and would prefer something driving distance. Mine is fixable but looking for something faster to get the project rolling. Short a good cab I would also be interested in any of the floor mounted supports/crossmembers.

passenger side spare tire
is it possible to mount the spare on the passenger side door? I'm not that familiar with the setup but would think the swingarm would work if mounted on other side. Is the latch different enough that it wouldn't work? Anyone have closeup pics of the setup? Love the look of the door mounted spare but...

Re: Dana 60 Axle swap
The advantage of changing the axles is you get disk brakes up front. Conversion to disk in rear for a relatively low cost and in my case 4.10 gearing. definite points to consider WIth the axle swap you get better brakes, better gearing and better choice of rims and tires just buying the 489's would...

Re: Dana 60 Axle swap
i outboarded the spring on the passenger side. Seemed easier than sending the axle out to get shortened.

Re: Humvee wheels?
I've been seeing sets on Ebay here and there for 350-800 or so for a set of 4 takeoffs mounted. seems decent price depending on tire wear but most look good. but they do seem to sell out fast. I agree the 24 bolt? look good. I'll readily admit I'm not up on the differences between the rims and will ...

Re: Humvee wheels?
Didnt realize the backspacing till i looked better at some pics. Ill have to see if i can find a bare rim for mockup. You can find some cheap sets of takeoffs on ebay, maybe with a decent wheel spacer wouldnt be too bad. I do like the looks. Pics you can email me at superbee70 @ msn . Com. Just take...

Re: Humvee wheels?
Ive already swapped the axles. I'm fairly certain the humvee 8 bolt pattern will fit any early 90's and down 8 bolt axle.

Humvee wheels?
Anyone have pics of a m37 with Humvee wheels? I've swapped over to 8 bolt Dodge axles and think the newer wheels would look good but was hoping to see a pic first. Think the Humvee wheels should fit with no problems on the axles. They are from a late 80s dodge. Also, is it easy to switch from the CT...

Re: steering column sizes
Plan to shorten MM and attach to a 3/4" DD shaft. The attachment for this will be close to the firewall so the outer jacket will need shortening. Will have to cut the outer jacket and need to make a spacer. Has anyone used the snake river spacer?
