Re: M37 Assembly Line Pic

Picked up a copy of the book set at the MTA meet in NJ this weekend. Got to meet David Doyle and had a good discussion about the books and other things. Great guy. Very interesting read to be sure, with lots of great pics! We're lucky to have someone that devoted to MVs to make such books. regards,...

My new book - Vietnam Gun Trucks

Hi Guys, Many of you have been asking me (for 4-5 years!) to let it be known when my book on Vietnam Gun Trucks is available. Well, I am pleased to say that time is NOW, the Gun Truck books have arrived (along with four other new titles). To be fair, the bulk of the book is devoted to 2 1/2 and 5-to...

Re: Massive new Dodge book available at 2015 MVPA convention

My set came in last week and I am still just looking at the photos...a huge resource for Dodge fans. We all should be buying David a beer. Hi John (and others), Thanks for the kind words (and I like mine frosty!). I just got a (very) few more copies, which I will have at the Military History weeken...

Re: Massive new Dodge book available at 2015 MVPA convention

Thanks to all of you who stopped by my table in Topeka! Thanks too for the kind words many of you shared with me and my wife Denise. As unfortunately too many of you know, I sold completely out of the new Dodge book at the MVPA convention. If anyone else wants to take advantage of the show special p...

Re: Massive new Dodge book available at 2015 MVPA convention

Thanks for the interest guys! Many of you who are not able to attend the 2015 MVPA convention have asked about how you may acquire these books. After considerable amount of work with the publisher, here is what can be done for people in the US (we are still working on the details for non-US enthusia...

I am working on that - it will be a few days before all the pieces are in place.

Thanks for your interest!

Sincerely,

Massive new Dodge book available at 2015 MVPA convention

Since so many people on the forum have provided help and encouragement, I wanted this to be one of the first places that I announce that after an eight-plus year labor, my new Dodge book is now being printed. What began as a small book on the Dodge through the years grew into a two-volume set of har...

Re: XM711

Hi Rick,
Great to hear from you.

Thanks for the info on this "report" - unfortunately, now that I know what it is, I know I already have it.

Nevertheless, drop me an email - we should compare notes on some things.

Thanks,
David

XM711

Hi Guys, I note that on the home page there is a link to a yet-to-be-posted report titled: 3-1/2 ton 4x4 Wrecker Truck, XM711, Jan 1969 This is one of the few missing pieces (along with the XM708) keeping me from completing my Dodge book (for those who don't know me, I have a pretty good track recor...

Seeking vintage photos

Greetings all, I am seeking some help with a new project. As some of you may know, I write books about military vehicles. For my current book project, I am seeking high-resolution scans of vintage photos (and related documents) relating to a couple of scarce G-741 variants. Specifically, the XM711 w...

books - out of print

Rick, I am glad the books arrived OK - and even happier that you are enjoying them. I was recently informed that the publisher had only 40 copies left, and I have about a case left. It doesn't look like there will be a 3rd edition in the near future - so glad you got them when you did. Best wishes, ...

Books and things

MM - glad you are enjoying the book, excerpts are no problem (with credit - the publisher is picky that way). PM me, we'll overcome the defect problem.

Refit, yes, the pricing will be the same in Tannehill. I should be there Friday shortly after noon until ??? Friday evening.

Thanks,
David

Check the gear oil - I own a M35A2 with a burst transmission housing. Seems water entered (condensed???) while it belonged to a previous owner - and then it froze. Easy to check, not easy to fix.

I'll be there on Friday as well. I'll be the guy with the camera, and a field desks loaded down with books for sale. Stop by and say hi.
