Re: Graveyard in the Gallery
Here's my mini graveyard. Drug these home last fall. The gray one may see the road again some day but the red one is too far gone to be saved. http://www.g741.org/photogallery/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=10845&g2_serialNumber=1 http://www.g741.org/photogallery/main.php?g2_vi...

Re: Packard to Douglas Connector Change Question
Bob, I would just change your sending unit lead wire to a Packard style. That's what I did with mine. Think Packard connector was under $2.00 from Saturn Surplus. Much cheaper than buying a Douglas unit or buying two Packard units if something goes wrong trying to convert it.

Re: Battery cable lengths?
The long one to the starter is 72" And the short ground cable is 24" The cables I took off appear to be the original.
Hope that helps.

When I get out to the shop tomorrow I'll measure my cables (just pulled them out last week) and let you know.

Re: Water separator for painting?
Gerry, I worked in my uncle's body shop for a few years and he had a full commercial/industrial water and oil filter setup plus a chiller. I was always shocked at how much water and crap were in the disposable filters when we would change the out. They really do work. Painting an M37 a basic filter/...

Re: Water separator for painting?
I would also highly recommend using an inline disposable filter. Any paint supply shop or decent Napa will have them.

Re: Water pump question?
Instead of cutting down the old spacer I ended up making a new spacer with a pilot. Wanted to keep the fan in the original spot in relation to the shroud and radiator. http://g741.org/photogallery/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=9263&g2_serialNumber=1 http://g741.org/photogaller...

Which manual?
Looking at Portrayal Press's site. Would TM 9-8031-2 be my best choice for information on overhauling the transfer case?
Thanks

Re: Front lifting shackle question
I just took off my bumper and lifting shackle brackets this weekend. There was spacers/thick washers for both back bolts . Under the million different layers of paint, the spacers and bottom of the brackets were the original OD so I'm guessing the spacers are original as well.

Replacement water pump?
The Napa part # I have is 584559 which is a good number but my Napa guy is saying he can not find one anywhere and is unable to cross it to anything else. Does anyone know a different part# or a good source for a replacement pump?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Fuel tank question
The original fuel tank was missing from my truck but it came with some sort of after-market tank. The tank looks like it should fit without any problems however it does not have the top part where the fuel and vent lines connect. I believe it's called the Fuel Tank Cover. Was wondering if anyone had...

Re: Question about rims/tires - M37
Stockton Wheel has a few styles of bolt on custom wheels for the M37 in just about any size you could want. They can also re-rim your stock wheel to a different size tubeless rim.
