Cummins 4BT and M37/M42 Build with LOTS of parts (new, NOS)
Howdy, I've been planning to do this M37/M42 for years and have been collecting lots of parts, a lot are NOS and new, with some very hard to find kits/parts. I was planning to rebuild the truck with a Cummins power plant, like Paul Mierop's trucks, but my plans have changed and I would like to sell ...

Cummins 4bt and M37 build
Hi, My interests have changed and I'm going to be selling my M37 Cummins build. The truck is taken apart and the frame was media blasted, primed and painted. Lots of new parts collected including front and rear disc brake conversion, new bed, new door, re-leafed springs, NP205 to mate to a NV4500, e...

Re: Website Updated
Charles, Thanks for the info. When I get to that point I'll definitely give you a call. My frame goes to the media blaster tomorrow AM! Now the fun begins. I've started a blog if anyone is interested in my M37 rebuild with a Cummins 4BTA: http://m37rebuild.blogspot.com/search?updated-max=2010-08-18T...

Re: Website Updated
They look like robust wipers. Are they plug and play?

Re: Website Updated
Charles,
Great looking truck.
Are the windshield wipers stock? I didn't see any pictures of the upper inside of the cab to tell. They look more robust. What motor and blades are you using? Any chance of posting a picture of them?

Great color, Josh. Is this the pearl gray that you were thinking about initially?

Re: NAPA bearings
The closest bearing supply companies are about an hour away. I've had good luck with my local NAPA in the past. Charles was correct though about NAPA's cost. Pretty high. I did a Google search about the Japanese bearing companies and they are big internationals. The KOYO company is now combined with...

NAPA bearings
Hi Guys, I got my order from NAPA today and most of my front and rear axle bearings and races have been replaced with Japanese versions from the Timkens that I ordered. Timken 28682 replaced with Japan NTN version. Timken 23100, 23256 2924 and 2984 replaced with Japan KOYO versions. Should I keep th...

Re: M37 Brakes
The MVM article about the dual MC upgrade was by Michael Sullivan in the April 2006 issue. A Bendix #1584 dual MC from a 1980 Chevy C30 one-ton truck was used. This is the same as NAPA #39017 or CarQuest #20-1584. Put putty on the frame to mark the locations of the brake lines. Are people still usin...

Re: M37 parts list
Hi Mitch,
I'm restoring my '52 M37 which has some rust. I'm looking for the frame to fender brackets on both front sides along with both complete running boards and brackets to frame.
Thanks.
John
