Hi. After 6 years finally got my M37 Running and road ready.
When idling my voltmeter is showing high. I have a solid state voltage regulator. Is there an adjustment?

What is the voltage?
Have you verified that the voltage in the instrument cluster gage is accurate by comparing with a known good multimeter?

It was showing 34 volts on my crappy multi meter so quite high. I’m going to double check with a better meter tomorrow. Could hear the batteries getting hot though so I think the gauge is accurate.

I should have also asked: original 24v system or converted to 12v?
Either way, 34v is high.
No way to adjust the solid state regulators that I know of.

It’s original 24v but new harness and regulator. There is two adjustment screws it looks like inside the regulator.

The SS 25A regulators have never been known as reliable, or as reliable as the original mechanical ones.
It is good they are interchangeable.
A 24-Volt system should charge at 28-Volts.
