I remeber reading about hooking up a temp. tank. How is this done and can you use gravity to bypass fuel pump?
Thanks,

I plan to let my fuel pump suck out of a 5 gallon boat gas can on the floor via a rigged fuel line for my test run. As for using a gravity feed, I think some folks have done that and there was a recent post regarding a mower tank? I need to test my pump rebuild so I am going this route. I have seen guys also run a fuel line right into their fender mount can.

I have a small mower tank wired to the radiator support. The pump draws from that. It works great and I don't have to put much gas in to just back the truck in and out of the garage.

An irony

That's what I do. Convenient and easy to rig up and remove and fill and all that kind of stuff.

How did you guys connect the mower tank to the pump? Did you use an adapter at the pump or did you put the adapter at the end of the short rubber fuel line? Do you recall the size of the adapter? I assume the tank side is a barbed fitting to push a fuel line on.
Thanks again,
