clutch alignment tool

Any one have a part # or specs for the alignment tool that I can use at a local parts store?

I don't have a number but you can get an input shaft from AB Linn-mine was $10.

wish I had asked earlier I just got a package from him today. I think the tool should be cheap locally. the shipping would kill me from A B

Picked mine up at a Clutch Shop for a couple of bucks.

Any auto supply will have a universal alignment tool kit; however the input shaft from the transmission can't be beat for this purpose. Much more precise than a universal tool; it's what we use all the time.

Just finished hanging the pressure plate and clutch disk. Used a length of 3/4" steel rod to align the disk while tightening down the bolts on the pressure plate. Then I mated the tranny with the engine. All went together slicker than snot. Might not be "the" most correct way to do it but worked for me.
