6 bladed fan?

The Power Wagons were offered with an optional 6 bladed fan for increased cooling and air movement. I have heard folks say "stay away from a 6 blade fan, they rob gobs of horsepower" I have driven Power Wagons with 4 blade fans and with 6 blade fans, sometimes the same truck after swapping a 4 for a 6. I have never seen any noticable difference in power, but they do run cooler. Anyone here running a 6 blade on their M37s? I have both and am considering which type to use. Originality would dictate a 4, as I have never heard of an M37 with a 6 blade.
All opinions welcome!
Thanks,
Tim

According to the ORD 9 parts manual there is a change in fans at M37 serial 80017467/8. Anyone know what that change entailed?
Hayes # 76232 Chrys # 580374 early
Hayes # 112132X Chrys # 1405845 late.

My Canadian does indeed have the 6 bladed fan also. I would guess that perhaps the blade angle is not as much as that on the 4 blade to compensate ?

My Canadian M37 also has a 6 blade fan. Man, does it move A LOT of air. When I stand in front of the truch when at idle, the fan pulls my shirt towards the rad.
