Okay guys I started in this hobby with the M151's and have spent a considerable amount of time on the wwwg838. org board. I'm real close to completing that project so I decided to start my next project. I will be spending more time here picking your brains as I get into this restoration. I will also post photos of my progress.
Any pointers on disassembly? Bed, cab, engine in that order?

Front Clip, then the bed (you can remove as one piece or break down to sides and front rear and floor...a lot of screws to remove) cab. Then engine, trans etc.
If it looks as good as your MUTT then I know it will be an excellent restoration.

I'm going to drill the heads off the screws in the bed. So is it easier to remove the bed as one piece and than take it apart on the ground?
Thanks for the compliment on the mutt. It turned out nice and I didn't use any body fillers just a very little spot putty in a few areas.

I took mine apart on the the truck so that it was eaiser for me and my son-in-law to move. I think it would be 6 of one half dozen of the other between taking it apart on the truck or taking apart on ground. I think it's what ever will work best for you.
