Sounds like me a little, I do 35-37 miles a week on the bike, last week was my first full week of work! I don't envy your moving chore, but Sandy will sure be happy in the new digs! Just don't overdue it!

10-4 Bruce, just don't want to allow this surgery to be an excuse to make me into a couch potato that just sits all day in the Lazy Boy recliner and watches Opera, The View and The Price is Right and although I am an old fart I will not sit on my ass and claim it hurts... can't do anything.

Carter,

I just can't picture you sitting on the couch watching The Price is Right  without wanting to bash the TV to a million PCs.

Well Bert a friend of mine is doing just that after having the same surgery. He claims it hurts to much and for 6 months has not even tried to do any exercise or work and just sits all day in front of the tube. What I do sometimes hurts and leaves me stiff all over at the end of the day but as they say... "no pain no gain." Someday he will find out he can't work because of to much atrophy and he will be a permanent couch dweller. No way that will happen to me.

The TV shows I listed are some among many I will never watch along with almost all of the 250+ on my set.

I'm glad to hear that you are up and moving around Carter, because a body at rest tends to stay at rest. I just went thru this with my father after his surgery. Dad was claiming it hurt to get up and move around but after several trips back to the hospital because things were not progressing as needed, he finally listened to me and started to exercise and things got better.

Keep in mind, Pain is only weakness leaving the body.

Great way to put it, never thought of it that way Bert, maybe more discomfort at the end of the day means more weakness is on it's way out... I hope. :D just have to be careful to not over do it.

Tim, good to hear from you and yes I am recovering well and hardly have any problems now because I continue to exercise daily and have regained near normal strength.
