"Power King 9.00-16's on their way!!!!!!"

Spoke to TBC in Memphis this morning. They have 100 Power King Traction 9.00-16's on their way with delivery to the main warehouse expected by the early part of August. As far as I'm concerned, these are the best value tire that is ideal for the Power Wagons (military or civilian) on the market today! You can call their customer service at 1-800-238-6469 to find out who is a distributor in your area and then who you can purchase them through. I've seen a lot of posts saying these weren't going to be available anymore and I am one happy camper to find out this isn't true. The model number for this tire is NR-50. These are directional tread tires with outstanding traction in all conditions that wear extremely well.

Best Regards,
Bryan Sage

P.S. If it doesn't say M376x6, it isn't me.

I really enjoyed the Co-Op Grip Spurs that I had on my M37 before I put the Michelins on... The Grip Spurs are bassically the same tire as the Power King Traction, but the lugs on one side are flipped so that they were not directional... Still have them in the barn...

Great to hear that they are still available...

When I got my tires I couldn't find power king traction so I got Super Lugs instead. The Power Traction Kings are really good and I will try very hard to wear out my Super Lugs so I can justify the cost of new Power King Tractions. I'm glad to hear that they are available. You can see the Super Lugs in my post today under "Its running".

Mike C.

My M-37´s Power Kings are shot and I cannot find XZLs, so I was thinking of Yokohamas (per Charles advise) or BF Goodrichs MT.
What a Problem now, should I go back to the old known Kings or should I surrender to Radials with Raised White Letters?
They Kings lasted 25.000 Miles, lots of Highway driving at illegal speeds (in the States) with little Off road

Charles did you modify your rims to fit the 315-75 R16 Yokos in your truck? How are they wearing to date?

I can't brag enough on the Yokohama's. I'm sold, have several customers running them, well liked by all. The rims have not been modified, they work fine, although I wouldn't want to go any larger on an original rim. They are wearing very well, mine are now at 50-60% still. Mostly on highway now since I'm no longer in the grading business.

Charles. What is the model or type of Yokohama you are using? Are they a biast ply or radial tire? Do you have a picture of them? How tall do they sit mounted on stock Bud rim?
Thanks

The Yokohama size is LT315-75R16. They are actually a tubeless radial, however you must use tubes with the original rims. They are about the same height as a 9.00x16, but a little wider.

I must say I don't know how many miles are on this set of tires at the present. When the truck was used in the grading business, I kept mileage logs, etc. & knew exactly what was going on. Now that its a truck we use here at the shop for whatever is needed, it hasn't been kept up with that closely, I really can't say.

It worked Ok, it´s still chromed. I´m waiting for the parts I´ve ordered from Unity for completion, then I will sandblast it and paint it OD to match the M-43. I´m using it with a 24v sealed beam from a Tank (I think) that I have that fits nicely though it´s not the correct beam pattern.

I´m really glad with the purchase. I will take pictures soon, I can´t keep the M-43 at home under roof it´s on a friend´s barn and every time I go to work on it I forgot to take the camera with me.

They are new, less than 500 miles. Thanks for the offer but it seems like a lot of work when I've go so much more important stuff to do. I'll measure tonight and let you know the height. I got them from VPW a few years ago, something like 125.00 plus shipping.

Mike C.
