Do you mean installing a completely different engine with associated components and accessories? Or do an original-type installation?

Got it. I don't have anyone specifically to recommend, but I think any decent independent shop should be able to to the work.

If this keeps up, there won't be any original M37's left...

With respects, it's Squeeky's truck to do as he pleases. If this forum insisted on originality most of us wouldn't be allowed, as most of the trucks we saved have had modifications of some type. Mine is certainly not original and never will be unless I will it to another enthusiast who insists on returning it to original form.

We're not going to turn into the G503 where folks argue the placement of Ford script bolts and the like.
Thanks,
Gary

As someone who is mid way through a ground-up restoration (here's hoping it doesn't end up grinding me up!) on mine that I bought in 1972 in high school, I've turned in to something of a purist--down to spending untold hours tracking down the smallest "correct" part that no one else will likely ever see.

Why? Just because it's fun, and the way I choose to spend my time on this particular truck. Others have different needs and wants. And that's cool.

Put another way, I think there will always be "original" M-37s out there. Even if many of them were modified by the using units: so what is considered original, anyway?

Now, If I can only find those Ford script bolts I think I misplaced....

Thank you John for your "purist" point of view!
