Auxillary Power Port

Can someone show me a picture of where the auxillary power port (for map light and "other accessories" whatever that means) is installed? Midwest Military has the ports for $15 each and the description says it goes to the right of the glove box, but there's no indication on the truck that would make it obvious to me where it goes.

What year truck? On my 53 there is the hole with 4 mounting holes covered by a blockoff plate. They may have omitted it at some point.

This one is a '53 as well. It must have been a dealer option or something.

Can you upload a picture of the placement?

I've never been successful in uploading here. The size restriction is too small and I don't have a way to reduce the files from my phone. (My only Internet device)

My 52 has one. Seems useless without the matching connector to use with it. I've not seen one...

The connector is still current production. And, knowing the part breakdown makes them cheap and easy to source on fleabay.
I however, bought 3 pin connector and sockets so I could feed 12, 24 and GND. through it. This way, I could use standard auto stuff also .

Looks like it was discontinued in production in 1952.

Mine is a '52 (June) and I was wondering once about this metal cover. Could it be?
Haven't taken a newer photo of it.

There are apps for that. I have one on my phone. Just search for "image resize" in the app store for your phone.

Thanks for the "Connector Link" Just Me!!
I have the socket on my 51, and I have the work light that plugs into it. I don't have a good picture of either of them though. If still needed, I can get a decent picture for anyone interested?
