Coarse Thread Replacement

Anyone use coarse threaded hardware when replacing fasteners with nuts? Any reason, other than originality, not to do that? I’m replacing most of the hardware and can’t stand all the fine threads.

I tend to use what the TM states. With anti seize everywhere. NV.

fine thread is stronger and less likely to vibrate loose. coarse really only good in castings. i have found if it comes apart clean best to reuse originals or go grade 8. The thread fitment to the nuts on newer bolts is not as precise as the original. what ever you replace grade 5 is minimum

I replace it all with grade 5 or 8 new hardware in original thread pitch for chassis, engine and suspension. (For safety) and reuse the original DCPD hardware on body for looks.
Fine is stronger than coarse.
