Here's Brutus. I bought him in Sept. of 2019, with the help and advice of Tim Holloway of Distinctive Restoration. Since I have zero experience working in these sorts of trucks, it's been very convenient having a friend in the Power Wagon/M37 restoration business just a few miles away. He does award-winning work.

In Brutus' case, I was looking for a "working in the woods" truck. My search was for something with "character" and good ground clearance. I was not looking for a show-piece; I wanted something that was running, and that I would not be heartbroken if it got dinged up working with it. The work Tim has done on it has been focused on safety and reliability, not the appearance.

The truck is my daily driver, rain or shine, snow or sleet. 99% stock, with the exception of the composite marker lights, and the 9.00R16 Michelin XZL’s.

Hello All,
Here's a photo from Saturday at Eagle Field, CA. Eagle Field is a former WWII training base in the Central Valley that's now privately held and hosts a variety of events from a fly in to drag racing on the airstrip. The MVCC had a get together down there over the weekend. We followed COVID rules and I'm thinking that the ambient temperatures ensured any floating virus bits were promptly fried! The M37 ran well on the trip (300+ miles) and it was fun tooling around on dirt roads. I'm still shocked how well it rides on washboard surfaces at 45mph.
