New E brake band installed

I have been putting off replacing my oil soaked E brake band for weeks. Partly because I tend to get abrupt motion sickness or spatial disorientation when twisting and turning under a vehicle. I thought about driving the hundred miles down to Columbia where my son has a lift in his garage, so I could sit upright for this project. Plus, I had some apprehension that the project would be troublesome perhaps to the point I couldn't complete it.
Was warm and sunny and after my French toast (my wife just taught me how to make it, easy as pie), got an assortment of tools out and went under my truck. A couple of weeks ago I had taken my truck to a spray car wash, and blasted off all the grease I could from the area.
As it turned out, the project was straight forward, although I was glad I had taken some pictures to see which way some of the J bolt linkages were aligned. Was a bit tedious to get the right clearance all around my new band, but when done using the manual, took it out for a test drive, and it seems fine, not hot. Pulling on the cab linkage gives a full tightness at three clicks. Took about two hours, next time it will be a lot quicker.
Best of all, I did not have any problem with any disequilibrium. Next up a full lube and fluid check under my truck. I am driving the 200 miles down to Kiawah Island, by Charleston in about six weeks, been invited to show at the big yearly car show. They want me to be sure to bring my 1919 machine gun. I got some ammo can stencils from Rick L, so they will look good with a belt of 30cal draped over the gun.
My truck is running great, starts instantly with little or no choke, no leaks, and my frequent 80 mile round trips to my shooting range is just a great way to spend the day. Just purrs at 40 mph.
All the best, NV
