That thing looks trashed. I hope it comes with all the parts

The bottom rod is missing, the top plate is trashed. The right bumper side is disconnected. It has probably run out of alignment for a longgggg time. I would wonder about the inner bronze bushings being worn. It would have to be torn apart and inspected and reassembled. Give the guy about $100.00.

Look on ebay there are a nos winch for sale plus there are a nice set of frame extenders and winch mounts on there also. try and go this route , as you will spend a good bit trying to re build a piece that is worn out metal,

Steer away from that, it's a pile of junk, not sure if any decent spare parts exist with that. The seller is most likely hoping for an uninformed sucker. A good winch will go for the $1,000-$1,500 range, may sound high, but is an in demand item. You may as well face the facts up front, in demand items will be pricey unless they are no good from the get go. A good quality US made cable wih leader chain, hook, & connecting hardware goes for $600 plus $$. Good quality products don't come cheap, just the world we live in. Good luck.

The advise that you have been given here is all acurate. You just need to ask your self "is this what I want". To put it into perspective that with a good core you can spend $1200+ on a rebuit winch. At best I would call that one a core for rebuilding. So the idea of $100 might not be to far off. On the other hand if the PTO is included and still in fixable condition than I would say a little more.
