Aftermarket seats

Howdy,

As I'm in the planning stage of my M37 project, I was wondering...

What aftermarket seats or seats originally from a different vehicle have people used in their Resto-mod M37?
How did you mount those seats? Did you bolt them to the existing seat box/ sheet metal in the cab, or did you relocate the battery and remove that sheetmetal, then make new seat mounts?

I've found some aftermarket bucket seats I'd kinda like to use, and I'm looking for ideas.
I kinda like the idea of retaining at least the passenger seat box for storage, etc... but if I ever get around to building my extensive roll-cage, I'll need to go a different route.

Thanks,
Declan

You can make your own springs and seat pans. Model A Tudor rear can work for passenger with mods and the front driver can be modded for the driver side. Not an inexpensive option, however.

my first one had a bench from a ford

and my second one I ditched the ply wood and bolted a seat from an m35a3 to the stock rails
it is very comfortable and the install was simple

Humvee seats are cheap and plentiful

otherwise I read mrap seats would work

look up fred Williams' m37 the dumpster on the fourwheeler net work I think that had aftermarket seats
