Brake power bleeder

So attempting to hook up my brake bleeder to the top of the master cylinder plug - and am having no luck with the size or threads.
I can power bleed the mc on the m37 plow truck with a 1/2 npt fitting. But that is a newer replacement MC.

Seems to want a 7/16 pipe thread - is this a AN fitting kind of deal or something else. I might have to bleed it the old way at each cylinder - just feeling lazy and would rather use my bleeder.

Need to get the M back on the road, - my hand dug well just went dry, and would be easier to transport a 300 gallon tank in the M, then on a trailer with my daily driver - which has picked this point to spend some time in the mechanic shop.

Was hauling water today, and the well down the road that i am pulling from also started to suck air.....ugh......need rain. Don't even want to think about hauling water and dumping it into the well in January.

Thanks.

Jim

I used an old MC cap (see photo in the link).

Ok i got it.

Took some time at lunch today with the MC plug, calipers and the Parker thead ID book.

So my MC needs a 3/4-16 x 1/4" Conversion Adapter with SAE-ORB x FNPT The SAE ORB is straight thread with an O Ring, and the top side of fitting will fit my 1/4 male quick release for the power bleeder.

Here is Graingers version https://www.grainger.com/product/PARKER ... ter-39A312 Page 3463 for the catalog folks (me).

The MC on my other M37 Plow Truck - has a 1/2 npt plug.

Learn something every day - but then again i did spend two hours today fixing a navigational lamp - only to find out the bulb was bad....works great now.....bright like the sun.
