BMW is just out with a $125 K M3 with water/methanol injection. But my concern would be hastened corrosion in the combustion cylinder with the combination of water and heat, even if only for brief periods.

By the way here is a picture of Cadillac-Gage V100 armored car in IV Corps, Vietnam. I was an infantry advisor there, and was out with these guys, they are taking a break on a road, playing cards. A few minutes after I shot this picture, one of the Vietnamese troops accused another of cheating, and dropped a grenade amongst, killing all these guys. All in a days work in war, I guess. I have always thought V100's are really cool armored cars. I have some pictures also of some of the French and British armored cars I saw there.

Water injection is used to allow high compression engines to run on fuel that is not high enough octane to burn efficiently. Where are you ever going to find fuel with a low enough octane to need this in a M37? Weren't they designed to run on something in the 60x octane level?
