We received our complete data plate kit. Sorting thru the few off the truck, we have only 2 that info is engraved and I want to confirm if the "blank" fields are really blank.
On the TRUCK, CARGO plate we have the ord. stock no, mfr ser, date del, contract, model & inspection filled in. The "MFR PART NO" is blank - Yes?
On the Responsible Agency plate we have chassis and body filled in but the "MTD EQPT" is blank - Yes? The Procurement & Depot Maint fields have the same thing "ORD CORPS" but the last row is blank.

This one is posted on/in the Gallery, some others are there too.
Where did you get your plates, Rod Shaver did an "Ordinance Stamp" (spread eagle) on mine when I bought them.

Thanks Bruce-
John at MWM recommended VPW, so we got ours from them. We were going to take them to a local guy to engrave.... just was wondering if the blank fields were correct. You confirmed we are on the right path. Thanks. Keith

I got mine engraved at a place called "Things Remembered" at the local mall here, came out a little small, but I like 'em.

Bruce - had to laugh, we are headed to the same "T R" here at the mall. The teenage girl was looking at us kind of funny figuring we wanted to buy some pens or picture frames - she did not understand "data plate". Of course my 17 son had a stay around to make sure she understood!! This has been one of the few times that his restoration project did not involve some discussions with old guys- of course I told him that he needs to get their phone numbers for rides when the M37 is done!!
Good Plan

Sounds like your son has a keen bid'ness sense.
