I can smell gas around back of truck but cant pinpoint the cause. Is there a way of slightly pressurizing tank and use soap bubbles to check for a leak or any other way to do this?
Thanks.

Remove the access panel in the bed and see if the pickup, vent or level sender is leaking first.

There 'should' be some staining around any leak. Is the cap on tight? Is the cap gasket good? Is the vent line from tank to filler pipe cracked, loose or missing? The clamps on the hose from filler to tank tight?
You can spray some aerosol talc powder around the tank and it will show ANY leakage.

I'll have to remember that, great idea!

Edit: If you're unable to pinpoint the leak find a shop w/ a smoke machine. They work great and are used to find leaks in evap systems frequently in shops that do emissions work. Out here in CA they get used often!

All hoses are tight and brand-new. Tried 2 different gas caps to check them. I think I will fill the tank to the top so I get liquid instead of vapor and see what happens
