Auxiliary Connector on dash, where to find its mate?

Damn internet! I finally got around to purchasing a new windshield to replace the one I broke and ... the impulse buying started!

I found a military issue magnetic base 24v spotlight that looked like it needed a home on the M37. I even was able to sell it as useful for camping accessory to certain members of the household. This of course leads to the search for a mate to the auxiliary connector on the right of the dash. Anyone know where to find one? It would be nice if I could wire the new light to plug directly into the factory connector, much cooler than adding a cigarette lighter.

If I remember right it's the same connector as the distributor 24v feed.
I may be wrong, it's been almost 20 years since my truck has gone distributorless...

Juan,
Thanks, it sure looks similar, I'll have to check to see if I have a spare connector from my old harness.

I did find the Chrysler # and Ord. # for the dash receptacle.
Chrysler #: CC-1269064
Ord. #: 7720497

Do you guys think this will work? It sure looks like the correct one to me.

Saturn Surplus has a photo, but it's tiny. I'm tempted to purchase it just to try it out.

Andy,

Midwest has the part you're looking for. It's a short harness that plugs into one of the circuit breakers with the other end being the single plug connector that mounts to the dash to the lower right of the glovebox door. It was cheap..........like $15 if I remember correctly...........but I did get mine a year or so ago. It's called an Auxiliary Power connector.

bob

Bob,
I have the part that's mounted in the dash, I need a mating connector for it.
