i washed the engine down 3 weeks ago and after that it did not charge... i took the regulator cover off and tapped the points on the regulator. at times they would move but there was nothing on the gauge.. the middle one really never moved. i did see some spark here and there and it would start to open and close then stop..do you think my problem is my regulator or generator... i stink at electrical. i wish it had a 12 volt one wire... i shut it off now it won't start. just had it running 5 mimutes ago .. one thing after another.. the belt is new. not slipping,everything dry in the regulator

just to clarify. I'm having issues with 2 trucks not one..one sputters and one don't charge. thats why there are 2 posts on here

have a new solid state regulator coming for it
