Hi Gerry,

That part number (1278065) comes up as a roof bow for the bed, not the eyebolt for the cargo strap. I looked all thru section 1810 of the ORD and don't see the eyebolt listed. The illustration of the back of the bed is too dark in my copy to see what letter actually points to the eyebolt, but there's part numbers and titles missing in the figure too.

But.......I picked up a set of used but original side boards at Red Ball the other week, and one of the eyebolts and both the seat back retainers are present. So I can tell you what the actual dimensions of the eyebolt are;

Overall Length; 3 1/2 inches
Bolt section of eyebolt Length; 1 3/8 inches.....3/8 inch shoulder w/1 inch of threads, threads are 3/8 course
Eye ID; 1"
Eye OD; 1 11/16 inches

Hope that helps,
bob

Those eyebolts are not 'hardware' items.

Forged, maybe by Dodge as they had a huge forging operation those days.

The clip is pretty much a piece of flat with one end bent and a hole in the other.

If you can't find the correct ones, McMaster-Carr sells forged lifting eyes that would fill the bill.
