I just wanted to apologise for the fact I have not been following the forum closely the last couple of weeks, on the 17 of August I had my thyroid removed and on the 18th I got released, on the 19th I blacked out because of an inner ear problem and had a trip back to Hospital. Recovery has been good one day, slow the next and now I have picked up a cold which for whatever reason has decided to set in a bit so I will be a bit aloof for a short while longer hence the apology, Many thanks to Gary and Bert for taking up the slack
I'll try to get back to my "Trained Monkey on Guard" duties ASAP

I had mine removed back in 2006, do you have to go on the iodine pills for a while? Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
