Does anyone have a picture of the exhaust pipe for a fording kit in the stored position on their truck?

Thanks,

CT

Thank you. Do you have any closeups of the what the brackets look like with the pipe attached in the stowed position?

Jay,

I did notice that the kid in the picture looks like he passed out from seeing such a nice looking M37.

I've read that it's not a good idea to run with the fording pipes attached and that it will cause engine damage. Not sure how long I can run with them attached, and how far. I usually only drive 5 miles or so per outing. Since there is a chance of damage, I thought I could take the cover off the air cleaner case and remove the exhaust snorkel. My problem now and I hadn't thought about it is I have an AB15 antenna mounted on the right rear bed. I guess I can move the antenna to the front of the bed on that side and find the exhaust bracket to mount the snorkel in the horizontal stowed position. Sure looks good with the snorkels attached though.

Here are the photos I promised last week.

I said I try to take a few pics and post them if it didn't rain. Well, it didn't rain, but we got an incredible wind storm instead which took down a lot of trees and power lines. No power, no computer, no pictures to post.

But we got our power back today, so now I have a computer (I can't post pictures from work), so here are some pictures. They are not very good because I had to take them in the garage instead of outside. but I hope they help.

Not sure if this is the "correct" installation, but it is how I installed it.

I hope those pictures show what people were looking to see.

Sorry for the delay.

Here is my Fording kit , finally got pictures... It has the standoff "quick" release that when mounted, keeps it vertical and parallel to and away from canvas top

Those "quick release" brackets are very nice, creinemann! I've been looking for one to buy (or borrow to make copies) for years. I pester John Bizal at MWM about them every time I call with no success, so far.

If you see one for sale somewhere, please let me know. :D

Carl, Are the brackets on your truck the original brackets? There is not a lot of available detail that shows the front bracket, but your front one looks right?? I have the same rear one as you, but need to find the correct front one.
